Basswood Resort, Platte City

We had a mixed experience at the resort. On the bright side, the staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating during our stay, making it easier to deal with unexpected issues. The campground itself was pleasant and well-kept, with a decent dog park. However, the cabin we stayed in was quite cramped, and a renovation crew was working early in the mornings, which made it hard to relax. Overall, the stay was okay but could have been better with some improvements.

The park is quite pricey for what it offers, with cramped sites and limited amenities. While the bathrooms are clean and there's an on-site laundry, the experience was marred by poor customer service and issues with muddy conditions around the RV sites. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it for the cost.
